MR C.A. IBE PROFILE
Mr Charles Agala Ibe is a Deputy Director and currently heads the Department of Human Resources Management and Administration in an acting capacity.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Language/Literature from Imo State University, Okigwe and a Master’s Degree in Literature in English from Abia State University, Uturu. He is a full member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration and an alumnus of Malaysian Productivity Corporation (MPC). He is also a Special Marshal with the Federal Road Safety Corps.

His public service experience includes a background in teaching English Language and Literature to students preparing for West African School Certificate Exams and a Part-Time Tutor at the Institute for Distance Education, Abia State University, Uturu.

He joined the Institute as an Administrative Officer 1 in September 2003 and was posted to Human Resources Management and Administration Department. He also served in the Department of Planning, Technology Transfer and Information Management where he was involved in the preparation of quarterly and annual reports for the Institute.
He continued as an Administrative Officer in 2012 at the Training and Development Division and also as Head of Secretariat for Committee of Directors meetings up till August 2020. He has acted as Secretary to numerous Management Committees. He was promoted to the post of Deputy Director in 2020.

 

Mr Ibe has participated in several Annual International Management Conferences organized by the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered). He has been trained on ‘Enhancement of Knowledge and Capacity Building on Human Resource for OIC Countries’ under the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme. He also was part of a Management Express Forum on ‘Self-Management: The Innovative Guide to achieving your Goals’ organized by the British Council, Nigeria. In addition, he attended a workshop on ‘Leadership and Management Skills for High Quality and More Relevant Research and Development Activities’ by Project Solution Consulting Limited at Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON), Badagry-Lagos. He has participated in a training on ‘Office Administration Masterclass for Public and Private Sector Organisations’ organised by the Nigerian Institute of Management.

He is a consummate reader and writer.
